When a Duck is not a Duck

February 9, 2015

There is a popular axiom that states: “If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it’s a duck.”  However, in President Obama’s world and that of his administration that axiom goes like this: “If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it must be a hippopotamus or anything else but a duck.

When it comes to Islam, despite overwhelming past and present evidence throughout the world of the barbaric nature of its adherents, where any intelligent mind and observer of current events, can easily see that the devastating majority of current terror and murderous deeds against mankind are committed by avowed Muslims, Obama and his team absolutely refuse to link such terrorism with Muslims and the Islamic faith.  Instead, he and his ilk are deceptively content to refer to such godless murders as purveyors of “workplace” violence in the case of the Fort Hood Islamic mass murderer.

On the occasion of the Islamic beheading of two American journalists, Obama could barely break away from his ever important golf game to disingenuously say: “It’s not only that we’re going to be bringing to justice those who perpetrated this terrible crime against these two fine young men. The United States will continue to lead a regional and international effort against this kind of barbaric and ultimately empty vision.”  Those who perpetrated this terrible crime Mr. President were and are Islamic terrorists who adhere to the clear teaching of the Qur’an and the example of Muhammad who routinely beheaded his foes.  As for the empty vision of these Islamic sub humans, read your Qur’an—I’m sure you have at least one—and admit to the obvious: Islam is a debased and cruel religion, not of peace, but of barbarism.

Shortly after the murderous attack by Muslim terrorists on the staff of the French satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo, where they killed over a dozen people, U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry,  had the unmitigated gall to say that, “The biggest error we could make would be to blame Muslims for crimes . . . that their faith utterly rejects.”  Has Kerry ever read the Qur’an or the teachings of Muhammad, Islam’s revered founder and posthumous leader?  Not likely.  Even in a cursory reading of the Qur’an one cannot walk away without acknowledging that Islam is nothing more than a satanic religion that advocates death and mayhem for non-believers.  Those who deny that are in deep bondage to its satanic master and god.  And those in leadership in America and elsewhere, both in government and the Christian church, who deny such, are seriously jeopardizing the safety, freedom and well being of mankind.

After the horrendous, torturous burning to death of the Jordanian pilot by ISIS, yet another Islamic terrorist group that has risen rapidly to power after Obama’s bailout from the Middle East, our illustrious president could barely tear himself away from more pressing issues, such as health care (which he has disastrously destroyed).   In referring to the ISIS video released showing the burning of the pilot, Mr. Obama struggled to come up with any meaningful utterance.  “But, uh, uh, should in fact this video be authentic,” he mused, “it’s just one more indication of the viciousness and, uh, barbarity of this organization.”

“Ummm, and it just indicates the degree to which whatever ideology they’re operating off of it’s bankrupt.”  Gee, such insight; such determination; such gutless bull—-!  One more indication of the viciousness . . . barbarity of this organization?  What planet are you living on, Mr. President?  How many “indications” do you need to wake you up to the reality that MUSLIM terrorists, whether ISIS, ISIL, al Qaeda, Hamas, the Taliban or the Muslim Brotherhood members you have on your staff, mean business, and that business is to kill and destroy Americans and America?  But then you would rather spend your time extolling Islam as a “religion of peace.”  Something any dolt understands is not true.  As far as ISIS being an “organization”, well, they’re not the Boy Scouts.  Egypt’s leaders and the head of the Kurdish military estimate that ISIS is a formidable military unit of 180,000-200,000 strong and growing daily.  You could have destroyed them two years ago when they were only a rag-tag group if you had listened to your military advisors.  But then, you are not one who listens to good advice.  So, now, due to your lack of interest in pursuing and eradicating ISLAMIC terrorists, Mr. President, the FBI has opened active investigations in 49 of our 50 states into the potential of ISIS terrorists living therein.

Oh, and let me not forget your blistering chastisement of today’s Christians at the National Prayer Breakfast last Thursday for The Crusades of nearly a thousand years ago.  “And lest we [presumably us unworthy Americans and Christians] get on our high horse,” you admonished, “and think this [I guess you mean the horrific torture, death and mayhem of Muslims] is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.”

Mr. President, your knowledge of ancient history is as inept and deceptive as that of your command of the U.S. Constitution, the Bible and the leadership of the nation.  While the Crusades may have been carried out in the name of Christ, as you so forcefully stated, they in no way followed His teachings of peace, love and to pray for one’s enemies.  More accurately (which you have problems with truth and accuracy), the Crusades were carried out as a direct response and defense against the barbarous, murderous invasions of the Muslim hoards from northern Africa and the Middle East into southern Europe where they tortured and murdered hundreds of thousands of Europeans.  Tired of such oppression by Muslims and concerned about their advancing into northern Europe, the kings of Europe appealed to the leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Urban II, to organize a counter-offensive against the Muslims.  In bringing up the “Inquisition” I presume you meant the Spanish Inquisition, which was an attempt once again by the papacy of the Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic monarchs of Spain to rid Spain of the invading hoards of Muslims, dictating that they convert to Catholicism or leave Spain.  Of course, neither the Crusades nor the Inquisition has anything to do with the current barbarism and desire for world domination of the Muslim faithful or its assault on Western values, culture and freedom.  But then, you are very skilled at obfuscating the truth to comply with your own anti-American agenda.

Lest you be reminded for the umpteenth time, Islam IS NOT a “religion of peace”, as you in ad nauseam proclaim to the ignorant—it never was, is not now, nor never will be.  While the New Testament of the Bible clearly and irrefutably calls Christians to be messengers of peace, as well as peacemakers, there is no such edict in the Qur’an or in the supposed teachings of Muhammad for the followers of Allah to be messengers of peace or to be peacemakers.  To the distinct contrary, the clear teachings of the Qur’an and Muhammad are for the “true” followers of Islam and Allah, is to take revenge against ALL those who refuse to accept Allah as the true god or to bow the knee to him and his followers—and that includes, as we have seen, all Muslims who refuse to adhere to the barbaric theology of Islamic terrorists, who are only interpreting what the Qur’an and Muhammad advocates and advocated.

So, Mr. President, I for one do not buy your deceptive rhetoric about your favorite charity (at U.S. taxpayer expense)—you know, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah and Muslim terrorists in general—and I pray that an ever growing number of Americans are catching on to your scam.

Can America be Saved?

November 16, 2014

America stands at the proverbial “fork in the road”, and once again she must choose whether to follow the heathen, Baal, or God.  But “a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom,” warned John Adams in a letter to his wife, Abigail, on July 17, 1775, “can never be restored.  Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

From Revelation 18 and the fate of America (p. 354)

On March 11, 1944 the renowned Scottish-American pastor, Dr. Peter Marshall, warned America in his sermon, Trial by Fire, of America’s choice—If the Lord be God, follow Him!  But if Baal, then follow him!  Ever since it seems like America’s leaders—both in the church and government, have either overtly or by gradual acquiescence, coerced and led the American people down the path to the worship of Baal, the heathen god of antiquity and perversion.

Is this the last straw for God Almighty?  On Friday, November 14 at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, the Episcopal Church invited Muslims to turn the Cathedral into a Muslim house of prayer to the pagan god, Allah.  Pews were replaced with prayer rugs that were strategically oriented so that Muslims would not have to look at the cross of Christ on the altar.  One brave Christian woman, Christine Weick, who drove from Tennessee and somehow evaded heavy security to enter the Cathedral, marched to the head of the gathering and proclaimed: “Jesus Christ died on that cross.  It is the reason we are to worship only Him.  Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.”  She was quickly whisked out of the sanctuary, escorted by a security person and what appeared to be an Episcopal minister in a purple robe.  Muslims were freely welcomed to desecrate the House of God with their pagan prayers to Baal, but a Christian was scorned and banned.

On the same day, a short distance from the Cathedral, Imam Hamad Ahmad Chebli from the Islam Society of (Monmouth Junction) New Jersey was invited by Rush Holt, Democratic representative from New Jersey to give the opening invocation for the U.S. House of Representatives.  The stone-faced imam approached the podium and after proclaiming “Peace and blessings of Allah”, uttered a phrase in Arabic and then continued.  “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.  Praise be to Allah!  The Treasure, the Sustainer of the World.”  He repeated, “The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, Master of the Day of Judgment.  Thee do we worship and thine aid we seek.  Guide us to the straight path. . . .”  (my emphasis).

Muslim Prayer in HofR.Screen-Shot-2014-11-15-at-10_52_16-AM.

Imam Hamad Ahmad Chebli praying to Allah in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Both of these incidences are a mockery of the One and Only true God of the Jews and Christians; blasphemous and an abomination that God cannot and will not tolerate.  To allow the false god, Allah, to be praised and worshipped in a place of worship set aside for Christians to worship Jehovah God is a travesty and an affront to Almighty God.  How can He continue to bless such a sacrilegious people?

A similar prayer was uttered at the Democratic National Committee winter meetings on February 2, 2007 by Imam Husham Al-Husainy who prayed for the conversion to Islam of all those in attendance.  Are our leaders in the church and government this stupid, ignorant or complicit concerning the evils and goals of Islam?  Do they not understand that in Islam, once a religious presence is established by the Islamic faithful within a city, a house of worship, a government, that Muslims see that as a victory for their god and may now claim possession of that territory?  The fallacious dictum and belief that these are “moderate” Muslims is nothing but deception on the part of Muslims themselves and pure ignorance on behalf of America’s leaders.

When the West looks at Islam it tends to see the adherents of the faith in terms of “black and white”: they are either “radical” or “peaceful”, “terrorist” or “non-terrorist”, “fundamentalist” or “moderate.” However, in the Muslim world, among Islamic clerics and the teachings of the Qur’an and the prophet Muhammad, there is only one form of Islam—radical and fundamental. ALL Muslims are called to believe in the fundamental (basic, original, elemental) truths of their faith as embodied in the Qur’an and the teachings of their prophet, Muhammad. There are no exceptions or deviations permitted. Unlike the Christian faith, in which there are many interpretations of scripture and the teachings of Jesus that have resulted in numerous denominations over the centuries, Islam is seen as one size fits all and all must believe in the same things. Hence, the ongoing blood baths between Islamic sects, such as the Sunni versus the Shi’a, etc. Each believes that they and they only are the followers of true Islam.

. . . Therefore, all Muslims are called to and commanded to follow a fundamentalist faith of Islam. There can be no moderation or moderate Muslims, only fundamentalists or “radical” believers. “Moderate” Muslims, if the West chooses to use such a moniker, in the reality of the Muslim world, do not exist. If they do in practicality, they are viewed as “akafir” or infidels just like the rest of the unbelievers outside Islam (from Islam & Christianity, A Revealing Contrast, pp. 301-302).

Previous waves of immigrants to America from places like Germany, Italy, Spain, Norway, Nigeria, Japan, Mexico and numerous other countries resulted in America’s famed “melting pot” of cultures and beliefs—an assimilation into one multi-cultural, multi-ethnic population seeking freedom and prosperity. The wave of Muslim immigration into Europe, Canada, Australia, the United States and elsewhere comes with a decided and dramatic difference. The vast majority of Muslims do not seek nor want to be assimilated into their host country. They do not and will not give up any aspect of their culture or religion. In fact, as most Western countries touting their liberalized cultural diversity are discovering, Muslims demand that the societies around them assimilate into their religious, social, cultural, political and legalistic views. Freedom of expression is to be suppressed. Scientific research and discovery is to be guided only through Islamic dictates. All morality and religious thought and expression is to be according to the Qur’an and the teachings of Muhammad (Islam & Christianity, A Revealing Contrast, p. 317).

America has been drifting away from Almighty God for many decades, denying the rich blessings that the Judeo-Christian God bestowed upon the nation as the Founding Fathers dedicated their undertaking and the Constitution of the United States—the greatest instrument of a self-governing people that the world has ever known—to Almighty God and based it on Judeo-Christian biblical principles.

Despite the current occupant of the Whitehouse assertion that America is not an exceptional nation, America was (despite all her sins) and is an “exceptional” nation founded on exceptional principles.  It is as if the Apostle Peter was talking about the future land of America and its people when he wrote: “‘But you are a chosen generation,’ the Apostle Peter wrote, ‘a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;’ (1 Peter 2:9).  It is time for Christians in America to stop making excuses or shying away from their Christianity and the devotion and allegiance to Christ and His Gospel.  The sooner Christians take a stand for what is right, just and holy according to the truth of the Bible, the sooner America will experience healing, reconciliation and restoration to the greatest ‘One Nation Under God” (Revelation 18 and the fate of America p. 380).

“If America is to survive, her only hope is in the restoration of her Christian heritage and spiritual foundations.  There is no other hope; no other solution” (Revelation 18 and the fate of America p. 379).

When the Hebrew people turned away from God and worshipped false gods, thus denying their godly heritage, God spoke through the prophet Jeremiah with this warning:

I brought you into a bountiful country, to eat its fruit and its goodness.  But when you entered, you defiled My land and made My heritage an abomination.   The priests did not say, ‘Where is the Lord?’  And those who handle the law did not know Me; the rulers also transgressed against Me; the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit (Jeremiah 2:7-8).

America is in decline—spiritually, economically, morally and politically—because the people (even church-going people) have turned from Almighty God and Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, the God of the Founders who pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor for the cause of freedom and their God (see the Declaration of Independence).  America is beyond human intervention to solve the immense challenges that are strangling its future.  Only the Divine intervention of Almighty God brought on by a true repentance and returning to Him is the hope of the nation and its people.

Deceived or Deceiver?

September 12, 2014

Now let’s make two things clear: ISIL is not Islamic and No religion condones the killing of innocents . . .

President Barack Hussein Obama

September 10, 2014 address to the nation

Now, let’s make one thing perfectly clear, Mr. President, you are absolutely and unequivocally wrong on both accounts.  ISIL or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (referring to the area of the Egyptian Sinai, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel and a section of Turkey) or ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is purely Islamic, following the dictates of the Muslim holy book, the Qur’an.  You, Mr. President prefer to use ISIL, thus giving the terrorists greater recognition of their goals and accomplishments.  Whether you or other talking heads and spinmeisters want to admit it or not, ISIL and other Muslim terrorist groups are the true Muslims following the word of their god, Allah and his historic mouthpiece, Muhammad, to the letter.  All other Muslims are nothing more than apostates in their eyes and worthy of only one thing: Death.

You can only be one of two things, Mr. President.  You are either deceived in your beliefs about Islamic terrorists and the religion of Islam or you are among the Islamic deceivers.  If the former you are in “good” company, President George W. Bush proclaimed Islam to be a “religion of peace”.  He was either greatly deceived or was just mimicking the lying pontifications of Muslim Imams and scholars worldwide.  However, the majority of the members of the U.S. Congress and some leaders of the Christian faith in the West have also been systematically deceived and hold the false notion that somehow this ignoble religion of “peace” has been “high-jacked” by a bunch of crazy radicals.  Let me say this as succinct as I can:  Islam IS NOT; never has been and never will be a religion of peace.  That may be “politically incorrect” and ire a lot of people, particularly the Muslim faithful, but it is the unabashed truth.

If you are among the latter, that is a deceiver on the truth about Islam, then you are merely numbered among the thousands of Imams and other Muslim con artists who have been deceiving non-Muslims for centuries about the true nature and goals of Islam.  Perhaps your Muslim heritage and upbringing have blinded you to the reality and true history of Islam.

As far as your statement that “no religion condones the killing of innocents,” all I can say is, “Please, Mr. President, some of us are not deaf, blind and dumb.  We have eyes that see; ears that hear and minds that reason and understand what we see and hear.”  The fact is, Islam is the ONLY major religion that not only condones the blatant murder of innocents (men, women and children), but it is a religion that advocates it and demands it if one is to be a true Muslim.

Perhaps I should share with you some excerpts from my highly endorsed book, Islam & Christianity, A Revealing Contrast, to enlighten you and others on the true nature of Islam.  For starters, you might remember the notorious Omar Abdel Rahman, known as the “blind sheikh” in the U.S.  Before he tried to blow up the World Trade Center in New York in 1993, he was a revered teacher of “Quranic Interpretation” at Egypt’s prestigious Al-Azhar University in Cairo.

. . . in 1980, the blind sheikh, Omar Abdel Rahman, was lecturing 500 students on “Quranic Interpretation.” In opposition to teachings on peace, love and forgiveness, the sheikh told the students that, “there is a whole surah [chapter 8] called the ‘Spoils of War.’ There is no surah called ‘Peace.’ Jihad and killing are the head of Islam. If you take them out, you cut off the head of Islam(p. 93).

Unfortunately, he is right in his assessment of the Qur’an’s mostly silence on the subject of peace. While the Bible has much to say about and teach about peace at all levels of human existence, the Qur’an offers little guidance to the wayward, sinful man (p. 93).

How would you compare the Bible and the Qur’an, Mr. President, on the subject of peace?

Jesus taught his followers to demonstrate peace to the world; even toward ones’ enemies. “Blessed are the peacemakers,” He preached in the Sermon on the Mount, “for they will be called sons of God (Matthew 5:9).” By comparison, Muhammad taught his followers to carry out a “holy war” or jihad against anyone who refused to accept Islam or have faith in Allah. According to the Qur’an, adherents to Islam are to fight against all who stand in the way of the spread of Islam and to fight against anyone who refused to enter into the Islamic faith.

And fight with them [the unbelievers] until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah; but if they desist, then surely Allah sees what they do (Surah 8:39) (pp. 94-95).

True Muslims that follow the Qur’an and the teachings of Muhammad neither desire peace nor understand the concept of peace.

Muhammad’s revealed message from Allah brought about extreme conflict and bloodshed between families and among neighbors, both near and far. Jesus, throughout His ministry, continually shared with His disciples and those who would hear Him, about God’s love and reconciliation and the coming of God’s Holy Spirit to dwell within those who chose to follow Him. “I have told you these things,” Jesus told His disciples shortly before His arrest, “so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33).” Note that Jesus did not command His followers to go forth and conquer the world for His sake. But, rather, He had already conquered the world in the spiritual realm through His coming and future sacrifice on the cross for all mankind. Allah, by contrast, revealed to Muhammad, that he and those who chose Islam were to go forth and violently subdue the world through bloody conquest (p. 95).

The concept of a god of love is alien to the Qur’an and the Muslim world.  Allah is portrayed by Muhammad and the Qur’an as a god of hate and vengeance.  He is an unforgiving god who will not tolerate disbelief in him.

The central theme of the Bible is that God is love and He loves those whom He created. Christianity can lay claim to one of the greatest and most reassuring verses of scripture of all the world religions in: “For God so loved the world,” Jesus taught His disciples, “that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:16-17, NKJV).” Imagine! God, the Almighty, the Ruler of the Universe, loved His creation so much, that ‘He decided that the greatest gift He could ever give mankind was to send into the world a human being who was without sin and embodied the complete thought and presence of God; endowed with God’s own Spirit, for the eternal and loving purpose of redeeming mankind from its sin which separated it from God and God’s love. What an earth-shaking concept that exists in no other religion but Christianity – a concept, which on the surface of man’s intellect, seems so preposterous that it could only be true. Man could never have conceived of such an act by any god. Man can only conceive that he must work his way into his god’s good graces through fulfilling laws or doing good works which will somehow make him worthy of his god’s love and acceptance.

“God loves you! . . . Yet in the Qur’an, no such statement is to be found (1).”

John 3:16-17 is such a striking contrast to the message that Muhammad brought to the world. Muhammad, according to the Qur’an was Allah’s mouthpiece to condemn the world for not believing in him in the first place. Muhammad was the messenger, procurer and consummator of Allah’s hate and wars upon the unbelieving Arabian world (as well as the rest of the world today). Muhammad did not come into the world as Allah’s messenger of love and salvation. He came forth as Allah’s apostle to persecute those who would not accept the tenets of Islamic faith as laid down by Muhammad.

A thorough search of the Qur’an will not unearth this biblical thesis of God’s unmitigated love. In fact, the Qur’anic theme is quite to the contrary. Allah, according to the Qur’an and its messenger, Muhammad, not only hates sin, but he hates the transgressor and all those who do not believe in him (pp. 158-159).

. . . “Christians & Jewish martyrs say; ‘I will die for what I believe.’ A Muslim martyr says; ‘you will die for what I believe (1).’” The underlying principle and foundation of Christianity is love: God’s love for His human creation; Jesus’ expression of God’s love by His sacrifice on the cross for all mankind and His commandment to all His followers to love everyone – fellow believers, non-believers and even enemies. Muslims, however, are taught and called by the teachings of the Qur’an and Islam’s revered prophet, Muhammad, to hate all those who oppose Islam – not only to hate, but to kill and annihilate all infidels and secure the world for Allah.

This latter religious dogma and mindset is difficult for the Western mind, and particularly those bathed in the teachings of Christ, to comprehend and absorb. However, it is this dramatic and fundamental difference that is essential for the non-Muslim world to grasp if it is to come to grips with and neutralize this rapidly expanding ideology that threatens the free world and all that it cherishes (pp. 245-246).

Mr. President, you and many others like you, have not grasped this concept and true understanding of Islam.

Or, have you?  You appear to be more familiar with the Qur’an than the Bible.  You have proclaimed that the Islamic call to prayer is the most beautiful sound.  You have submitted to Muslim leaders around the world, apologizing for the United States.  For what?  For American’s love of peace and freedom?  You have repeatedly supported Muslim Brotherhood factions in the U.S. and abroad and even placed several of these radicals in high positions in your administration.  While you seem to fervently support Muslim Brotherhood groups around the world, you turn a blind eye to the plight of persecuted Christians and Jews who are dying by the millions at the hands of Islamists.

So, Mr. President, are you among the deceived when it comes to understanding Islam (the faith that you were schooled in as a youth), or are you a deceiver of the ignorant of the true goals and objectives of the followers of Islam?

Allah IS NOT God!

March 4, 2014

On Sunday, February 16, 2014, U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, was visiting Indonesia, the largest Muslim populated nation in the world.  With over 200 million Muslim adherents, Indonesia is home to about 13 percent of the world’s Muslims.  While visiting the Istiqlal Mosque that accommodates 130,000 Muslim faithful in Jakarta, Kerry obligingly agreed to beat the mosque drum in the call to prayer.

Was Kerry there to encourage Indonesian and Muslim leaders to get a better handle on the growing radical Islamists who attack, suppress and persecute Christians and other non-Muslims?  No, he was there to push his and the Obama Administration’s radical “climate change” agenda and to proclaim that, “We are all bound to one God and the Abrahamic faiths tie us together in love for our fellow man and honor for the same God.”  By “we” it is assumed that he was including Muslims, Jews and Christians in one happy family of faith.

One thing is perfectly clear from history and biblical scriptures, that while Allah is the god of Muslims, he IS NOT the Jehovah God of the Jews and Christians as represented in the Bible and history of those two bodies of believers.  For centuries Muslim clerics and scholars have tried re-write biblical and world history and claim that ALL the Old Testament prophets and Jewish patriarchs were really Muslims and that even Jesus was a Muslim.  Muslims have tried for centuries to give their pagan religion legitimacy by claiming that it is an Abrahamic religion, meaning that it originated from Abraham, the Jewish patriarch who lived 2,800 years before Islam was ever conceived by Muhammad in what he considered was a satanic vision.

Christians and the Jewish people DO NOT pray to, worship or honor the same god as do Muslims, nor do they have the same affection, understanding and viewpoint of mankind and human nature that Muslims do.  Once again, a Western leader has demonstrated profound ignorance and gullibility about one of the most threatening enemies of Judeo-Christianity and Western society.  Right after the horrific attack on America on September 11, 2001 by Islamists, President George W. Bush was quick to assert that, “We see in Islam a religion that traces its origins back to God’s call on Abraham. We share your belief in God’s justice, and your insistence on man’s moral responsibility. We thank the many Muslim nations who stand with us against terror. Nations that are often victims of terror, themselves” (meeting with U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan The Oval Office, Washington, DC November 13, 2002).  Once again, Islam IS NOT an Abrahamic faith, nor does Islam teach or believe in the justice of a loving God, but rather in Allah’s unrelenting vengeance upon non-Muslims.

The Bible is full of expressions of God’s love for His creation (see John 3:16-17 and elsewhere).  However, throughout the entire Qur’an no such sentiments are expressed by Allah.  The Qur’an, however, orders the followers of Islam to attack and kill its enemies, even if there is no provocation to do so. “True” Muslims are required by Allah, as revealed in the Qur’an, to carry out a one-sided offensive and violent war of attrition against all those who do not accept Allah as God and follow his “commandments” (Islam & Christianity, A Revealing Contrast, p. 169).

On November 19, 2001, President George W. Bush, at the Iftaar Dinner in The State Dining Room, Washington, D.C., stated that,  “The Islam that we know is a faith devoted to the worship of one God, as revealed through The Holy Qur’an. It teaches the value and the importance of charity, mercy, and peace.”  The Qur’an and Islam’s “prophet” Muhammad teaches and taught no such virtues.  Although the Qur’an does teach that Muslims are to be charitable toward each other, there is no such admonition to be charitable toward non-Muslims.  Nor will one find in the Qur’an any teaching on Allah’s mercy toward non-believers or that Allah brings peace to Muslim adherents or non-Muslims.  There is only one author of peace and mercy and that is Jesus Christ.

Two years later, on November 20, 2003, in a joint conference with then British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, President Bush proclaimed that he, along with Christians and Jews worshipped the same God as Muslims and that Islam was a religion of peace.

Of course, the present occupant of the Whitehouse, Barack Hussein Obama has made his sympathies for Islam well known, saying that, “The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer.”  Right after his first election to the office of president, Obama went on an “apology” tour of appeasement and bowing to the leaders of Islam around the world, thus tipping his hat of allegiance and admiration.

In an effort to usurp the Abrahamic lineage for Islam, Muslim clerics and scholars have proclaimed for centuries that it was not Isaac, the Jewish patriarch that spawned the 12 tribes of Israel, that Abraham sought to sacrifice on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem, but rather Ishmael on Mount Mina outside Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

There are numerous problems with the Islamic claim to Abrahamic lineage.  Several things should be noted at this point. First, Abram chose to disbelieve God’s promised covenant with him and establish his own covenant by the flesh. Second, his partner in this fleshly covenant was the pagan, Hagar (meaning one who takes flight), the Egyptian. Third, it was God, not Abram, who chose the name of Ishmael for this son to be born outside of God’s chosen covenant with His people. Fourth, it was God who said at Ishmael’s conception, that he would “be a wild man;” and that “his hand shall be against every man, and every man’s hand against him.” At the same time “he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren”  (Islam & Christianity, A Revealing Contrast, p. 2; also read Genesis 15:3-5, 16:11-12). . . . Fourteen years after the birth of Ishmael, God fulfilled His intended covenant with Abram (now Abraham) with the birth of Isaac to Sarah who was no longer called Sarai. . . . God never intended to establish His covenant with Ishmael, because Ishmael was not the child of the promise but of the flesh. God could not establish His covenant with him, He could only bless him. While God blessed Ishmael with fruitfulness, He never made a covenant with him. God’s covenant was with Abraham and him only. And, unlike Abraham and Isaac, God never promised Ishmael and his seed that He would be their God (ibid, p. 3).

Although Arabic Muslims claim Abraham as their heir, biblically they are descendants of pre-covenant Abram, the one who disobeyed God and disbelieved His promise of an heir through Sarah. God could bless Ishmael, but He could never establish His covenant with a sinful seed of the flesh.

Ishmael became the father of 12 Arabian princes (nations) whom God said that He would “multiply . . . exceedingly” (Genesis 17:20). Ishmael and Hagar were driven into the Wilderness of Paran to dwell (Genesis 21:20-21). This wilderness covers the eastern Sinai and the southern and southeastern borders of present-day Israel.

Ishmael’s sons initially inhabited an area from Egypt and the Sinai Desert, the Arabian peninsula to Assyria (which includes present day Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria and the lesser Arab kingdoms).

Remember, God promised that Ishmael and his descendants would be wild men whose hand would be “against every man.”

The Qur’an, Islam’s “Mighty Book”

April 25, 2012

The Holy Book the Muslims DO NOT Believe

“… if the Muslim rejects the Bible,” wrote Gnana Pragash Suresh, a priest for the Society of St. Pius X in Southern Africa, “he must also reject the Qur’an because it appeals to the Bible as God’s Word. On the other hand, if he accepts the Bible, he still must reject the Qur’an because it contradicts the Bible.”

“… the [Qur’an] is difficult to use as a historical source,” wrote Islamic scholar Professor Patricia Crone of Princeton University.  “The roots of this difficulty include unresolved questions about how it reached its classical form, and the fact that it still is not available in a scholarly edition.

“Modern scholars,” Crone continued, “usually assure themselves that since the Qur’an was recited from the start, we can rely on the oral tradition to supply us with the correct reading. But there is often considerable disagreement in the tradition ….” (more…)

Where is the American Outrage?

February 29, 2012

Where is the outrage in America?  As our soldiers and civilians are murdered over the accidental burning of some books our president is spending his energy in weak-kneed cow-tailing to the Muslim world like a whimpering dog with his tail between his legs.  How cowardly; how treasonous.  While Obama, Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta, General John Allen and other cowardly members of the president’s administration are on an apology/appeasement concession to radical Muslims worldwide, Muslims get the stamp of approval for their barbarous acts.  So a few hate-filled Qur’ans were burned.  So what.  In 2009 the U.S. military burnt Bibles for fear that their presence in Afghanistan might offend Muslims.  No one, including Obama or the military apologized to the soldiers, Christians or anyone else.  Nor did those whose Bibles were burned rise up in indignation and riot and kill anyone.

Abraham’s Sacrifice: Isaac or Ishmael?

January 9, 2012

We can gain some insight into this generations-old conflict by picking up the story in Genesis 16 where Abraham and his wife Sarah were first known as Abram and Sarai. Abram was eighty-six years old and Sarai had never bore him any children, yet God had promised him that he would have a male descendant who would bring forth descendants as numerous as the stars of Heaven.

And Abram said [to God], “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.”

Then the word of the Lord came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son coming from your own body will be your heir.” He took him outside and said, “Look up at the heavens and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” (Genesis 15:3-5, NIV)

Frustrated and impatient with the lack of God’s immediate fulfillment of His promise, Abram decided (with Sarai’s encouragement) to take matters into his own hands. He took unto himself Hagar, Sarai’s maidservant, and she bore him a son.

And the Angel of the Lord said to her [Hagar]: “Behold, you are with child, and you shall bear a son. You shall call his name Ishmael [viz., God shall hear], because the Lord has heard your affliction. He shall be a wild man; his hand shall be against every man, and every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” (Genesis 16:11-12, NKJV)

Several things should be noted at this point. First, Abram (meaning, “high father”) chose to disbelieve God’s promised covenant with him and establish his own covenant by the flesh. Second, his partner in this fleshly covenant was the pagan Egyptian Hagar (meaning one who takes flight). Third, it was God, not Abram, who chose the name of Ishmael for this son to be born outside of God’s chosen covenant with His people. Fourth, it was God who said at Ishmael’s conception, that he would “be a wild man” and that “his hand shall be against every man, and every man’s hand against him.” At the same time, “He shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”

It is important to note that the Hebrew word used for “wild” in the above verse means for one to be like a “wild ass,” with no boundaries. The Hebrew word used for “hand” means the “open hand of power.” And who were Ishmael’s brethren? He had a Hebrew father, Abram, and a pagan Arabic mother, Hagar. His brethren at the time of his birth were both Jews and Arabs.

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, he was still without a true heir by Sarai’s womb. God then spoke to Abram and made this covenant with him:

As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. (Genesis 17:4-8, NKJV)

Fourteen years after the birth of Ishmael, God fulfilled His intended covenant with Abram (now Abraham) with the birth of Isaac (“laughter”) to Sarah (“princess”) who was no longer called Sarai (“dominant”).

Abraham asked God if “Ishmael might live before you.” But God told Abraham:

No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation. (Genesis 17:18-20, NKJV)

God never intended to establish His covenant with Ishmael, because Ishmael was not the child of the promise but of the flesh. God could not establish His covenant with him; He could only bless him. While God blessed Ishmael with fruitfulness, He never made a covenant with him. God’s covenant was with Abraham and him only. And, unlike Islam & Christianity Abraham and Isaac, God never promised Ishmael and his seed that He would be their God.

Ishmael became the father of twelve Arabian princes (nations) whom God said that He would “multiply … exceedingly” (Genesis 17:20). Ishmael and Hagar were driven into the Wilderness of Paran to dwell. (See Genesis 21:20-21.) This wilderness covers the eastern Sinai and the southern and southeastern borders of present-day Israel.

Ishmael’s sons initially inhabited an area from Egypt and the Sinai Desert, the Arabian peninsula to Assyria (which includes present-day Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, and the lesser Arab kingdoms).

Remember, God promised that Ishmael and his descendants would be wild men whose hand would be “… against every man.”

Some Bible translations of Genesis 25:18 state that the descendants of Ishmael after the death of Abraham, “lived in hostility toward” or “in defiance of” all their brethren (New International Version, New Living Translation, and New American Standard). Other versions (including the King James, New King James and Amplified Bibles) state only that Ishmael’s descendants lived “close to” or “in the presence of” their relatives.

Muhammad and the Muslims have found a simple solution to this dilemma of a negative biblical image. Muhammad asserted that Allah revealed to him that it was Ishmael, not Isaac, that Allah chose to test Abraham’s faith; and, therefore, it was Ishmael and all those who are descendants of him that are the true chosen people to fulfill Allah’s covenant.

Instead of God calling Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac on a makeshift altar on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem (the current site of the Dome of the Rock), it was Allah who called Abraham to sacrifice Ishmael on Mount Mina outside Mecca.

According to the Qur’an, Abraham prayed to Allah:

My Lord! Grant me [a son who shall be] of the doers of good deeds [that is, righteous]. So We gave [Abraham] the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. And when [Ishmael] attained to working with him, [Abraham] said: “O my son! Surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see.” He said: “O my father! Do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones.” So when they both submitted and [Abraham] threw [Ishmael] down upon his forehead, and he called out to him saying: “O Ibrahim! You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do. We reward the doers of good: Most surely this is a manifest trial.” (surah 37:100- 106)

This version in the Qur’an of Abraham’s call to sacrifice his son strongly contradicts the biblical story. “Then God said, ‘Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about” (Genesis 22:2). Notice that God refers to Isaac as Abraham’s only son. That is because only Isaac was God’s choice to fulfill His covenant with Abraham—not Ishmael, the son of the flesh.

In the Genesis account, Isaac had no prior knowledge of his role in the sacrifice:

Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”

“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.

“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” (Genesis 22:7-8a)

Because of Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his only son and not withhold him from God, God promised Abraham that “… through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me” (Genesis 22:18).

From the present day and historical perspective of the daily violence against mankind by the followers of Islam, it is hard to see that this was God’s plan for blessing the nations of the Earth through the descendants of Ishmael. Among the descendants of Isaac, however, was Jesus, the sacrificial lamb who brought salvation to the world by the shedding of His blood and not that of another human being—truly a blessing to all who will receive Him.

The Apostle Paul affirmed that descendants of Isaac are the true heirs of God: “It is not as though God’s word had failed,” he asserted. “For not all who are descended from Israel are [of] Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, ‘It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned’ [Genesis 21:12]. In other words, it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. (Romans 9:6-8)

Is the Qur’an the Word of God?

January 8, 2012

The Qur’an claims that Allah is the God of Muslims as well as Jews and Christians. “And do not dispute with the followers of the Book except by what is best, except those of them who act unjustly, and say: We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you, and our God and your God is One, and to Him do we submit (surah 29:46).” Despite this assertion that the God of the Jews, Christians and Muslims is one and the same, much of the Qur’an shows hatred toward Jews and Christians (“people of the Book”), referring to them continually as infidels (unbelievers), worthy only of the sword of Allah’s wrath.

There is some difficulty in piecing together the message of the Qur’an.

·         The Qur’an is not written with any sequential theme, nor is it arranged in a chronological manner. The chapters (called surahs) are arranged by the longest (that appear first) to the shortest (which appear last).

·         It was originally composed on any organic material handy, including bones, leaves, bark, reed mats, stones, or just recorded in the minds of men.

·         Since Muslims claim that the only true Qur’an is in Arabic, any other translations are suspect even if translated by Muslim scholars. This makes it convenient for Muslims to dispute whatever non-believers find objectionable in non-Arabic translations. Muslims can just claim that whatever the translation, it does not hold true in Arabic.

·         The Qur’an’s reliability as Allah’s word rests on the character and trust of one person, Muhammad, the prophet of Islam.

·         Much of the Qur’an appears to be verses of revelation that Muhammad received that fit his self-serving ambitions at the moment, rather than holy guidance for lost souls.

·         Some of the teachings of the Qur’an violate the Ten Commandments that Jews and Christians hold sacred.

·         While the Qur’an acknowledges that Jews and Muslims (and Christians through Christ) are descendants of Abraham, much of the Qur’an denigrates and demeans Jews and Christians specifically and calls for violence against them.

The Bible, by comparison, is somewhat easier to follow due to its many chronological sequences. It is also written by numerous prophets, sages and apostles who were first hand witnesses to God’s intervention in the lives of His people. In some cases, different authors write about the same events, with agreement on most details. In the Qur’an, Muhammad is the only participant with Allah and the only reporter. There are no collaborating witnesses or recorders of the events to which Muhammad speaks.

So, what is the true face of Islam? On November 20, 2003 – a scant two years after the terrifying events of September 11, 2001 – the President of theUnited States, George W. Bush, in a joint press conference inEnglandwith Prime Minister Tony Blair, declared that Christians, Jews and Muslims worship the same God and that Islam is a religion of peace. Is Islam a peaceful religion, as Islamic leaders desire for Westerners to believe, and as the President of theUnited   Statesand leaders of other countries try to assure their countrymen? Are Jews, Christians and Muslims all “brothers” just trying to follow the same God? Do we all have a joint destiny that will end at the same place?

If the Qur’an is God’s last word to mankind and Muhammad was the last and greatest of His prophets, as Muslims claim, then it would appear that God has reversed His plan of salvation and freedom for mankind. Instead, He has decided that enslavement would be better; that man could no longer be justified by shedding of His own blood through Jesus Christ; and that it must be man’s blood shed through the violence of Jihad that would bring unbelieving sinners to repentance.

Birth of Islam

February 23, 2010

In an attempt to understand the complexities of Islam and its dedicated one-and-a- half billion followers, we must first turn to an unlikely source – to the Bible of the Jews and Christians. Interestingly, the Bible does provide some historical and spiritual insights on the origins and fate of the Middle Eastern peoples that gave birth to the Islamic faith. It turns out that the Middle East has had an ancient history of volatility and violence that is well established in biblical record. Islam has its root in Arabic culture mixed among the belief and tradition of Abraham and his son Ishmael fathering the tribes of the Middle East. If both the people of Islam and those of Judeo-Christian heritage claim Abraham as their patriarch, why have they been forever at each others throats?  The answer can be found in the scripture of both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.

What the Bible Says. We can gain some insight into this generations’ old conflict by picking up the story in Genesis 16 where Abraham and his wife Sarah were first known as Abram and Sarai. Abram was 86 years old and Sarai had never bore him any children, yet God had promised him that he would have a male descendent who would bring forth descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven (Genesis 15:3-5).

He shall be a wild man; his hand shall be against every man,  and every man’s hand against him.  And he shall dwell in the presence  of all his brethren.”                                                 Genesis 16:11-12, NKJV

A Revealing Contrast

Foreword

Americans are bombarded daily with conflicting commentary on the relativity of Islam to Christianity and the debate between Islam as a peaceful religion to one of terror and bloodshed. If we are to take these issues before us and deal with them responsibly, we must not only be informed of what is being presented to the world, but we must also be well-informed on the truth behind this fast-growing religion. To stick our heads in the sand and just take everything at face value may come at great cost, not only in our earthly future, but when we stand before the throne of Christ. As responsible Christians, we have the privilege and responsibility to stay engaged in what is taking place around us and seeing that God’s Kingdom continues to move forward.
There is an abundance of information grabbing for our attention in the world on the topic of Islam, as well as numerous different slants and opinions. To be valid in the life of a Christian, God’s Word must be held up as the comparison, the element that, if you will, “tips the scale” towards what is true. Without this mirror, one is left defenseless in discerning what they read and hear through the media, and much less effective when trying to pray for and explain the truth of the gospel to a Muslim. With the fast-moving world we live in today, none of us are exempt from the issue at hand. We hear it on the news, read it in the paper or as we are sharing car pools and PTA meetings with Muslims in our own community. To take the Great Commission seriously, we must know what we believe, what the world believes and how to share truth with them, when the opportunity arises.
Many within the Islamic faith do not totally know what they believe; they take everything at face value, but find their hearts empty and searching. My visits to the Middle East have brought me in contact with Christians who were former Muslims and who have shared how empty they felt, and knew that their faith was not meeting their needs. It was only after they were introduced to the truth of the gospel message that they were able to see what they were longing for. These living examples give even more relevance that we must be students of not only God’s Word, but also understand what the Muslim faith professes, that we may present the truth of God’s Word to them, holding it in contrast to their holy book, the Koran. It is up to God to do the rest; our part is to be informed and ready to share when the opportunity arises.
Dr. Gauss has presented an effective resource in Islam and Christianity for the average reader. Here you will find many of the issues addressed that are forefront in the minds of Muslims, comparing clearly the lives and ministry of Christ with that of Muhammad. God’s Word is clearly compared with the Koran and gives you a hands-on resource to use in your witness, as well as in your prayer life for the Muslim world.
As Christians, we understand that the root we must recognize is not social, political or economic, but it is spiritual. May this book assist you in standing with God in bringing many locked in darkness into His marvelous light.
